Our Go! Girl workshops have become really popular over the past year or so, and we think a lot of this is to do with the approach that Pilates teacher and dancer Lenna has towards women in fitness. We are totally in love with her, and you will be too after you read this….
Go! Girl Pilates is a low impact, high intensity workout to help you feel fitter, stronger and energised. The focus of the workshop is always how it makes you feel and stays well away from focussing on getting fit to look good. I am a big believer in keeping fit because you love your body and not because you hate it and I feel saddened by how many women come to exercise for self-punishment.
These workshops are aimed at women because women are subjected to the majority of messages about appearance and because many women need a supportive environment to help them feel at ease when exercising. Encouraging this atmosphere in class is a priority for me. I want women to feel that they can enjoy exercise no matter how fit they are, no matter how skilled they are and regardless of whether they’re wearing Sweaty Betty’s newest range of leggings. This is alllll about your vibe attracting your tribe!
