In October 2016, someone suggested I try Yoga for chronic pain. I’d tried everything else to no avail so thought I had nothing to lose, (little did I know how much I had to gain!). I was so anxious and embarrassed of how little I could do and how my body felt like it really was giving up on me!
Then I found We Are Wellness, a 4 Week Beginners Yoga course. From that first class with the fabulous and very funny Helena, I knew I had found something special in this stunning place. In just a few short weeks I couldn’t believe how much it helped my pain, confidence and anxiety and how everyone is encouraged along at a level that is right for them. I was (and still am!) excited about Yoga, my health and the future, I just knew this was the start of a journey….
7 months later and I cannot wait for my next class! My fitness has massively improved, I’m losing weight, I can move again and bend and do some poses I never thought I would be able to! (can you believe I just managed the wheel pose with help…me! Thank you Helena!)
Helena and Helen have so much passion and knowledge it’s infectious! I absolutely love the classes, workshops and people and I can’t wait to try new ones. I always leave feeling excited, energised and with a new found sense of serenity. I am so grateful for all the ongoing support and encouragement from everyone at WAW, Jo xx
