The full Primary Ashtanga sequence will usually take 90 minutes. Why is taking this class important in your development as a yogi?
1. The sequence is set up so each posture gives you the strength and flexibility for the next. That way you approach new poses with a sufficient foundation of strength, balance or flexibility and are able to explore more challenging postures.
2. Having 90 minutes of practice provides enough time to fully immerse into the meditation of yoga, offering time to let go of the day and connect with your breath.
3. Given the option many yogis would only practice the poses they enjoy. However, in doing the full Primary Series you don’t have a choice to just practice the poses you like (which are usually the ones you can do), you have to do them all, including the ones you hate!
Add this 90 minute class to your practice at least once a week and you’ll see real change. There are currently 2 options on offer at We Are Wellness:
