Why is massage so important? Laura tells us why it’s shouldn’t be something you do once a year!
It’s crazy to think that in a time when we are so aware of how much of an impact our mental and physical health has on our bodies and lives, that people still think of massage as simply a luxury!
If you looked at a person’s budget for a typical month, it would probably read something like this:
Now maybe the nails and beauty would be likely to be on a female’s budget but not necessarily! The point is that we think of the gym, our hair, nails and anything else that makes us visibly attractive as being of paramount importance, whilst the focus on our inner health and beauty tends to fall by the wayside.
Now it’s not to say that these things aren’t important – it’s nice to look nice – these things make us feel attractive and therefore feel good and that’s never a bad thing! But the other side of our health shouldn’t be neglected just because we can’t see it!
A relaxation massage is recommended at least once per month as a prevention from issues with tissues, as well as lots of other things. Regular massage helps with lymphatic drainage (removing toxins from the body) as well the prevention of muscle tension and the build-up of stress in the body. When I say stress – you don’t need to be on the brink of insanity for your body to feel the daily effects of a stressful life. In-fact a lot of people don’t even realise when their body is under stress, as they are so used to their hectic schedule!
Don’t wait until you’re in bits before you do something about it – because the chances are you’re going to be squirming around on the massage table when it comes to fixing it! Why not instead integrate a relaxation massage into your routine – it should be a pleasant and enjoyable experience! I can’t begin to describe all the health benefits of this therapy, it’s good for the circulation system, the heart rate, the organs, the muscles, the central nervous system, your psychological mood, your sleeping pattern and other habits – literally everything! Not to mention all the different essential Aromatherapy oils to compliment the massage – each has it’s very own therapeutic and healing properties, so there’s a whole world of benefits open to you right there!
Everything runs from energy – including your body. This energy needs to be replenished. You wouldn’t not put fuel in your car or not pay your energy bill! So don’t neglect the most powerful source of energy you have access to – your own!
