Through regular practice I’ve come to see yoga as a practice of returning to myself, taking me back to my body and my breath. I’ve realised how this has helped me deal with stress and feel stronger mentally and physically. Now as a mother, yoga is blissful ME time.
My hatha class has a focus on the breath, as well as a variety of grounding postures, to nourish and strengthen the body and calm the mind. I like to focus on the cultivation of an inner feeling, or bhavana, that can help to make yoga transformative.
My favourite place in Yorkshire is…The Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Wide open countryside and sculpture, amazing!
